Super Simple Nutrition Top 10

Not sure of what to eat? Not sure of when to eat? Have a load of other questions about nutrition? Don´t get stressed and don´t make it too complicated. Here is a top ten list of easily digestible nutrition tips to help you out.

1. Eat Breakfast – Not starting your day with food is a sure way to slow your metabolism. Slow metabolism means fewer calories burned.

2. Eat Small Meals – Break your meals into six portions throughout the day. Smaller servings are easier for your body to process, thus helping your body burn calories more effectively.

3. Limit Coffee – Consuming too much coffee is harmful as caffeine is a diuretic and may cause you to become dehydrated. If you do not replenish the lost fluids your brain may mistake the dehydration for hunger. Meaning, you may think you are hungry and end up consuming unneeded calories.

4. Drink Water – Have water with meals and snacks instead of drinks that are packed with unneeded calories.

5. Chuck the Junk – Get rid of the junk food at home. If it is not there, then you will not be as easily tempted to eat it.

6. Eat Real Food – Stay away from the highly processed stuff. If you cannot pronounce the ingredients on the label then it is best that you stay away from it.

7. Give it 15 Minutes – Take a 15 minute break after each meal. Rather than jumping at seconds let your brain register that you are full. Doing this will help you reduce how many calories you take in and make metabolism that much easier.

8. Limit Booze – Drinking too much alcohol will not do anything positive for you. One, alcohol is filled with empty calories that you do not need. Two, it can stimulate your appetite, thus making you eat more calories you didn´t really want in the first place.

9.Reduce Dairy – Milk and cheese are packed with calories and cutting back on it will do wonders. Try cutting them out all together. Don´t worry, there are other ways to get your calcium.

10. Brown Bag It – Pack your own lunch and snacks for work. Having your own food will give you more control over how many calories you take in throughout the day.
